Your Internet marketing strategy is the key to success: 5 key points

There is no shortage of advice on Internet marketing available today. An exact phrase search on Google today for the phrase "Internet marketing" returned over 8 million hits. Seems everybody has a hot idea, a better way, a new approach. While there are millions of pieces of advice on these kinds of topics, few mention the most important concept of all - being familiar with the basics.

While Twitter's hot new tool or Facebook's fresh approach can be interesting, exciting and make for good reading perhaps, without a firm grasp on the basics of marketing the effectiveness of any tool or approach is lost. This is what Re-marketing is.

remarketing for websites

Ok today I'm going to be talking to you about how to use remarketing effectivily , and how to increase your revenue by doing so.

What is remarketing?

Remarketing lets you show ads to users who've previously visited your website as they browse the Web.

Some one comes to your website, browses and then leaves, and then they are going to be greeted with more ads from your company, which will then move your company to the forefront of there mind.

How you use remarketing, is you'll tag pages of your site that correspond to certain categories you want to promote.

For example, you could add a “TV” tag on all of the pages where you sell televisions.

You can then create an AdWords campaign to show highly relevant messages (such as ads displaying a special offer on TVs) to people who've visted these pages as they browse sites across the Google Display Network.

Why should you Use It.

Remarketing is a powerful way to stay engaged with your target audience.

Presenting them with highly relevant ads and offers across the Web -- and making sure your brand is top of mind when they’re ready to buy –- can radically improve ROI.

Tumblr John Quirke Marketing

It was a thing that I always wanted to do but just never got around to do it, it’s not like I’m getting Tumblr posts in my face all the time, so I needed a reason to sign up! I didn’t get one so I signed up anyway just to keep up to date with modern and emerging technology and different platforms and to be honest I just didn’t see the reasoning behind setting up an account and still at this stage I’m still unsure but best get on the bandwagon to be hip with the cool kids..

Advantages of Geolocation

Geolocation is when you visit a site and automatically it know’s your location and gives you a little message and includes your location. I think that’s pretty smart and it’s not actually that difficult to implement onto your website without the use of anything too difficult to do this.

How it works, when you visit a website you also bring a piece of information called an IP address, internet protocol, now this is a line of numbers separated by 3 dots.
