Setting Up Google Shopping?

As part of our process of setting up Google Shopping we will do the following, to make the transition of your products to be listed on Shopping

Stage 1

Initial Checks

Verify your products fit Googles Requirements
Use an official language
Tell customers about your return and refund policy
Collect user information responsibly and securely
Follow the Google Shopping policies
Verify and claim your website URL
Verify your Website requirements for Google Shopping
Fit your product data into the Google Shopping feed specification

Stage 2

Create a Merchant Center account

In order to use Google Merchant Center you must first sign up for an account with Google. If you already have an account with Google (like Gmail), visit merchants.google.com and sign in to get started.

If you don't already have a Google account, go to accounts.google.com and click Create account with a new Gmail Account.

Follow the prompts to create a new Google Account.

When you create your Merchant Center account, you'll be prompted to complete the following:

  1. Configure your account and select a location
  2. Agree to the Terms of Service

Once that is done you will have to grant us access to your Google Account

Stage 3

Create your product data for Google Shopping

Creating Product feeds from your products, for this we will need a inventory list of all of your products

Input method: There are four input method options:

  • Google Sheets: provide us your data using a generated template or by selecting an existing Google spreadsheet that you created.
  • Scheduled fetches: Google can fetch your feed directly from your server. (Optional) create a fetch schedule for your feed.
  • Regular uploads:  Upload files directly to Merchant Center via SFTP, FTP, Google Cloud Storage, or manually through the UI. If you use SFTP or  FTP or Google Cloud Storage, you’ll need to create an SFTP or FTP account in the SFTP/FTP/GCS section under the 3-dot icon.
  • Import from e-commerce platform: Available only if you’ve linked your supported e-commerce platform to your Merchant Center account and automatically import data from there.

Stage 4

Submit Google Shopping Feed

Once the appropriate shopping feed for your business is created for your business we will then submit  the feeds to Google Shopping to be verified by Google. Once the shopping feeds have been verified you can then start selling on Google Shopping.

Stage 5

Create a Shopping campaign

If you would like we can then set up a shopping campaign to help you promote your products in Google Adwords.

This include:

  1. Manage a Shopping campaign with ad groups
  2. Establish a suitable budget
  3. Manage bidding inside an ad group
  4. Use multiple ad groups in one campaign

Once the Google Feed is up and running or when the Google shopping campaign is set up then our work is completed, you will need to update your Google feed for Google shopping frequently depending on the changes to you shops stock, this can be done through Google Docs or by file up load by excel. We can arrange a comprehensive maintenance system for your google shopping feed that we can update for you.
