Here’s a bunch of SEO tools to play with!

Here’s some of the SEO tools that I use frequently to improve my rankings on Google across all the different websites that I run, some are more accurate than others and some offer more insights that others. But don’t get too worried if you don’t rank highly for any of the tests, they are only a gauge and most of the test’s ulterior motive is to get you to upgrade and purchase their more expensive option.
How to use them
The whole purpose of these tools is not to judge your website, but to get a base recognition of where your website is at, and then to make changes and improve on the key performance indicators on your website.
Create a new document in Google docs and take the scores you receive from any of the test below and then try to implement some of the changes that they recommend and in a month’s time do the same tests and gauge the performance improvement or at times deterioration. Play it like a game and try to get better at it each month.

There is also a host of other extensions that you can place onto your browser and on the fly collect data. But I’ve found the best approach is to get a base mark, place it in a Google doc, make some changes and then test again. It’s good practice test at least once a month and compare the results.
